I co-authored the "AI in Law & the Legal Profession Industry Insights Report" as part of the LSESU AI – Law Summit in March 2024. Specifically, I wrote the sections on AI ethics and governance – covering a range of topic such as the tradeoffs between data privacy and accuracy and the potential for explainable AI models.

Artificial Influence: Examining How Labels on AI-Generated Images Impact Perceived Credibility of Content (Dissertation)
Using a simulated social media news feed, I studied the effect of labeling posts with AI-generated supporting images on perceived credibility of the posts. I found that labels meaningfully decreased participants’ perceived credibility in information provided in the posts, and that attitudes towards AI and cognitive reflection abilities moderate the effect.

One Shadow, Two Reflections
“Just nine minutes in, I was squeezed out too. After an intense battle consisting of a few brutal kicks, some tummy bumps, several mini concussions and 50 million liplocks, my twin had won.” I wrote a short memoir about how it feels to be raised as a twin. The piece was published in The Gazelle – NYU Abu Dhabi’s student-led publication.

Behind the Screen
Behind the Screen: The Ethical Dilemmas of Digital Nudging is a philosophy essay that I wrote for one of my courses titled “Ethics of Data and AI'“. In this essay, I argue that digital nudging leads to the degradation of human dignity and shall be morally impermissible when used by private actors in the attention economy to maximize revenue.

Impact Investing and Technology in India
“As digital penetration rates continue to soar in India, it is all the more important to ensure the fruits of technological progress are reaped across the large underserved population”. I wrote a piece about technologically-driven impact investing in the case of India. The article was published by Amani Institute – a non-profit educational organization geared towards social change.

AI vs Professional Poker Players
In 2016, Deepstack became the first AI player to defeat professionals at two-player poker. For my undergraduate thesis, I investigated empirical payoffs from the game to study the behaviour of Deepstack and professionals with respect to von Neumann’s theory of mixed-strategy equilibrium.
